Description
This is a combination of two individually sold kits, a rodend conversion kit for the front control arm, and adjustable tension rods. The tension rods are designed specifically for 1984-87 models, with the small axial donut bushings, and will not work with the 1988-89 models. While all control arms are compatible with the rodend conversion, the early tension rods use M10 rather than M12 bolts for the head where they attach to the control arm, and attempting to use the late control arms will result in loose fitment, or the tension rods will have to be modified to suit the larger bolts.
In total, this combination of length adjustability, on both the arm and rod, will allow a large degree of caster and camber adjustment. For very wide trackwidth options, the arm can be cut at a lower offset (normally 95mm from the inner end of the arm), thereby biasing towards length, but the tension rod stud holes will have to be slotted to allow any significant change.
After conversion, expect much more solid feeling steering, much crisper and predictable braking, and general stability improvements. Welding is required.
