S13 to Z31 coilover adapters model year comparability
Hello.
Why will the s13 to Z31 coilover adapters not work with turbo cars after 1986? Is it due to them being wide body models or are the shocks a different diameter?
Is this the case for all models world wide that they will not fit or specific to US spec?
Thanks

Re: S13 to Z31 coilover adapters model year comparability
The inner diameter appears to be larger in 88T+ models, however a lot of replacements may have been the earlier diameter since 87T has all the same external dimensions/function, and it's possible some cars continued to ship in 88 with the earlier size, but as a rule of thumb it applies.

Thanks for the reply.
Could you possibly share what the diameter of the adapters are? Just so i know if it will work with my car or not.
I believe cars with the electronic suspension do have a thicker shock but mine does not and i suspect these would work on my early 88 Turbo UK model.
Thanks again

As I recall around 43.6mm inner diameter.
As far as I'm aware, all turbo cars had adjustable shocks, so that isn't the deciding factor.

Thanks.
That is around about what my shocks measure.
I believe the US spec and UK spec as mine is were slightly different and not many of our UK models had adjustable shocks.
I am going to purchase a set and i can always adapt them if need be.
I will keep you guys posted if you wish so that you know for future.
Regard
Niall
