Z31-to-S13 coilover adapter compatibility list

What qualifies as a $600 coilover, new or used? Is the goal to save money or performance or convenience?

The rears just make the bushing sleeve longer in one direction, so you see a finger width of blue when it's installed, that's it.

I am trying to save money, as well as go for more performance. New, max about 700. I wouldnt mind modding the coilover to fit, i would just like to know what type of modding is necessary.
I only ask because the direct fit ones are $800+

OEM S13 struts have the holes in their brackets very close to the strut body, and the S13 spindle is cast steel with no camber adjustment, so the spindle never changes distance from the strut. Since it never moves, it doesn't need extra meat, allowing a tight fit.

The vast majority of coilovers are made with much larger brackets, where the holes are further away from the strut body. Part of the reason for this is the extra coilover hardware makes the strut body larger. Most of them also include a slotted upper hole in the bracket that allows something close to 1 degree of movement for camber tweaking, which changes the wheel clearance at the spring, and to compensate for that, they make sure the bracket has additional offset.

Because of the above, most coilovers work fine with the adapters, but some have thinner strut bodies, some have no slotted hole, and therefore come with smaller brackets. In some cases, the lower holes can be slotted just enough for the strut body to clear the adapter. In other cases, the brackets may require cutting and welding, which is more difficult on models with aluminum brackets. There are even cases where buying brackets from another company that uses the same thread pitch on the body will solve the issues. Unfortunately there's no way to know which options are possible and acceptable to every end-user.

Like they say, anything can be made to work, it's just time and money.

I see Godspeed coils are on the direct fit list but doesn't include a specific model. Will all Godspeed models fit directly?

All the Godspeed models appear to have amply large brackets, and the new version of the adapters further improve compatibility.

Can you find out the compatability with Neo Motorsport coilovers? Specifically the dynamic purple (DP) series.I believe they are a newer company.
How precise does the adapter have to be positioned when it's welded in?

Apologies for late reply, the forum screwed up the main account, and various attempts to fix it failed...

There's a diagram on the first page and plenty of photos around for welding orientation, but the redesigned coilover adapters without the blade have far better clearance than earlier versions, so I doubt there's any more fitment issues except in very rare cases. Unfortunately all I could find was generic pictures, and thus can't give you any more info.
